We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting our network infrastructure. This includes client networks like WiFi, and datacenter networks. You will play a crucial role in reviewing and optimizing our existing network setup, ensuring security, efficiency, and reliability across all layers of our network architecture.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, set up, and configure complex networking environments from scratch, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits of the existing network setup, identifying and resolving issues related to bad routes, misconfigured firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Lead and mentor a team of mid-level engineers responsible for the administration of ACLs, monitoring, and routine network maintenance tasks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the infrastructure teams, ensuring collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network architectures, configurations, processes, and service records.
  • Implement proactive measures to prevent network failures and outages, including the configuration of monitoring tools and services.
  • Be available for on-call duties and prepared to work out of hours to fix issues proactively to minimize downtime and avoid on-call situations.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry’s best practices to recommend improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in network engineering with a strong background in network infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience with client and datacenter networks, including ISP’s.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience with Juniper and Fortinet products is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of open-source monitoring tools like Elastic Stack is advantageous.
  • Good application troubleshoots expertise to assist in layer 3-7 WAF/CDN setup and experience with DDoS mitigation strategies, preferably with first hand experience of volumetric and low-and-slow attacks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing or leading a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across different teams and departments.
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, or equivalent would be advantageous.
